Sump Pump

Sump Pump Installation

A sump pump is only as dependable as its installation. DryWorx sets up the pit, pump, and discharge as one system, so water is carried out and routed away from the foundation.

What a proper installation includes

Installing a sump pump is more than dropping a pump into a hole. It means a pit placed and sized for the water, a pump matched to that volume, a check valve so water doesn't run back, and a discharge line routed to carry water well away from the foundation.

Get those pieces right and the pump can simply do its job; get them wrong and even a good pump leaves you with a wet floor.

When a sump pump makes sense

Common reasons to install one:

  • Recurring water in a basement with no pump
  • Adding interior drainage that needs somewhere to discharge
  • Finishing a basement you want to protect
  • Replacing a pump that has failed
  • A home that sits in a high-water-table area
  • Past flooding you don't want to repeat

How DryWorx installs it

After a free inspection, we put the system in cleanly:

  • Sizing and placing the pit and pump for your space
  • Routing the discharge line away from the foundation
  • Tying into interior drainage
  • Discussing backup options for power outages

Installed once, done right

A clean, correctly sized install means fewer callbacks and a basement you don't have to think about. We explain the whole setup in your written plan before we start.

Good questions

Frequently asked

Where does the water actually go?
Out through a discharge line that carries it well away from the house, so it doesn't simply soak back toward the foundation.
Do you install a backup too?
We can include backup options where it makes sense, so an outage or a failed main pump doesn't leave the basement relying on one pump.
Can you add a pump to my existing drainage?
Yes — the pump and drainage are designed to work together, and we tie the two in.
Is the inspection free?
Yes — free and no obligation.
