Basement Drainage System

A drainage system is the backbone of a dry basement. DryWorx installs interior drainage that catches water at the wall-floor joint and carries it to a pump.

How an interior drainage system works

Water under pressure from the soil tends to enter where the wall meets the floor. An interior drain runs along that joint, collects the water as it arrives, and channels it to a sump that sends it back outside. Instead of fighting each leak, you manage the water as a whole.

It's the difference between chasing wet spots one at a time and giving all of the water a single place to go.

Signs you need better drainage

Consider an inspection if you see:

  • Water along the base of the walls after rain
  • Damp or stained wall-floor joints
  • Puddles returning in the same spots
  • Chalky residue low on the walls
  • A sump that runs constantly — or never
  • Persistently musty lower-level air

What DryWorx installs

After a free inspection, we build a system sized to the water you actually have:

  • Perimeter interior drainage
  • A sump pump to discharge the collected water
  • Sealing active entry points with crack repair
  • Managing leftover moisture with dehumidification

Built around your basement

No two basements take on water the same way, so every system is sized and routed to the home it's in. The inspection maps where your water comes in and where it needs to go.

Good questions

Frequently asked

Interior or exterior drainage?
Interior drainage is common on finished homes because it's reliable and far less disruptive than excavating outside. The inspection settles which fits your home.
Will a drain alone keep the basement dry?
It's designed to work with a sump pump, and with crack repair where water enters directly. Together they manage the water.
How long does installation take?
Most interior drainage systems go in within a few days. You'll get an expected timeline in your written plan.
Is the inspection free?
Yes — free and no obligation.
