Exterior Drainage Services

The easiest water to deal with is the water that never reaches your foundation. DryWorx grades and drains the ground around your home so rain and runoff head away from it, not toward it.

Why exterior drainage matters

A lot of basement and crawl space moisture actually starts outside — downspouts dumping right at the wall, ground that slopes back toward the house, or runoff that pools against the foundation. Handling water at the surface takes pressure off everything below it.

Often the most cost-effective improvement to a damp lower level is simply moving roof and surface water farther from the house before it ever gets a chance to soak in.

Signs water is collecting where it shouldn't

Look for these around the outside of your home:

  • Puddles that sit near the foundation after rain
  • Mulch or soil washing away along the house
  • Downspouts that empty right at the wall
  • Soggy, slow-draining spots in the yard
  • Water sheeting toward the house on a slope
  • A wet entryway, stairwell, or window well

What DryWorx installs outside

After a free inspection of how water moves across your property, we put the right pieces in place:

  • French drains to collect and redirect groundwater
  • Downspout extensions that carry roof water well away from the foundation
  • Entryway and stairwell drainage for low spots that catch water
  • Tie-ins with interior drainage where water still reaches the basement

Outside and inside work together

Exterior drainage lowers the amount of water pressing on your foundation; interior systems handle whatever still gets through. The inspection shows which mix makes sense for your home.

Good questions

Frequently asked

Will a French drain fix my wet basement on its own?
Sometimes. By cutting the water that reaches the foundation it helps a lot, and on some homes it's paired with interior drainage for a more complete system.
Where do downspouts need to discharge?
Far enough from the house that roof water doesn't simply run back to the foundation. Extensions handle that.
Do you handle drainage at a walk-out or stairwell?
Yes — low entries and stairwells that catch water are a common fix. The inspection covers it.
Is the inspection free?
Yes, and there's no obligation.
